Spring could be just around the corner...or so it would seem with the time change. My mood always seems to lighten when we have more evening light, and about this time the Oregon juncos return to my yard. Mating ritual I've seen so far- hooded mergansers are spreading that beautiful hood (even though it was at a flock of gadwalls), great-horned owls are on the nest and birds at my feeder have given chase. Migration has begun and it will be good to see the return of our old friends.
